Ethernet network hubs can also be referred to as concentrators, as they are the ones responsible for connecting multiple machine units to be parts of an Ethernet network by using RJ-45 cables. An Ethernet network hub enables all the computers in the network to exchange and share data, aside from using the same Ethernet connections. These network hubs consist of two ports that connect each of the computers to the central network source or what we call the router.
