The iPhone has clearly been a successful launch by Apple. The most innovative piece about the iPhone and what has curtailed this product to enormous sales is the app store. Just as Facebook has done with applications and once of the catalysts for why Facebook is the large site it is today, Apple opened up their application platform for developers allowing millions of companies and developers to build and launch their own apps.
